Association and Club Cover

One account. Every instructor. Every student. Full oversight.

Whether you run a small club with a handful of instructors or a national NGB with thousands of members, MADR gives you a single dashboard to manage instructor insurance, student registrations and compliance across your entire organisation in real time. Your instructors can log in to access their own proof of cover, or you can manage everything centrally and handle issuance yourself. It works the way you need it to.

We come from the martial arts sector. We understand how associations work, how NGBs operate, and what clubs actually need from an insurance provider. That is why MADR is built to work for any organisation — from a small club with ten instructors and a hundred students, to a national governing body supporting tens of thousands of members across hundreds of affiliated clubs.

We are not a generalist broker who added a martial arts category to a product list. We built MADR because we saw how much money was leaving the sector and never coming back. Through our not-for-profit structure we keep that money in martial arts, negotiate directly with AXA XL on behalf of our members, and provide the tools and infrastructure that associations need to manage cover properly — without the overhead of building it themselves.

Whether you want your instructors and students to access and manage their own cover through the MADR portal, or you want to run everything centrally and handle issuance under your own brand, we can accommodate both. There are no minimum membership requirements and no obligation to use MADR for anything beyond the insurance itself.

Why Organisations Trust Us

Our credibility is independently verified, not self-declared. Here are some of the standards and frameworks we are held to.

Organisation Management

Full oversight. Your organisation. Your way.

The MADR hub gives associations, clubs and NGBs complete visibility of every instructor and student under their account, in real time. Register instructors with or without portal access — so they can log in and manage their own cover, or you can handle everything centrally on their behalf. Assign students to instructors, track who is insured and who is not, and manage renewals across your entire membership from one dashboard.

You decide whether to use MADR branded certificates and licence slips, or manage issuance yourself under your own branding. Either way, the cover is in place and the records are yours to manage. Pay monthly or annually, add instructors and students as your membership grows, and stay ahead of compliance without chasing anyone for paperwork.

This is not a system built for insurance companies. It is built for the people running martial arts organisations.

What we offer your organisation.

Our Price Match Promise

If you are currently getting like for like instructor or student insurance through your association or an existing provider, we will match it. Same cover, same terms, same price — or better. If for any reason we cannot match it, we will offer you one free instructor insurance policy and 100 student licences at no charge, so you can experience MADR properly before making any commitment. This offer is subject to our standard terms and at our discretion, but we make it because we are confident in what we provide. Get in touch and we will assess your current cover and come back to you with a straightforward comparison.

About Us 🙌

Real people. Real expertise. A genuine UK not-for-profit.

We are a team of martial arts professionals based in Sussex, UK. Not an outsourced call centre, not a single person operating from a kitchen table, and not a faceless multinational insurer with a martial arts category bolted on. We are a regulated Community Interest Company, legally bound to operate for community benefit — which means when your members insure through MADR, they are supporting a genuinely not-for-profit UK martial arts scheme, not feeding a corporate profit margin.

For associations and NGBs, that is a powerful thing to be able to say to your members. Essential, must-have insurance — the kind every instructor and student needs regardless — channelled through a scheme that reinvests back into UK martial arts. It is the same cover, at a better price, with a better story behind it.

Disciplines Covered.

We can provide cover for more than 250 disciplines and styles, and this list can be revised with our insurer on request where-ever a genuine discipline or style requires endorsing.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about association and NGB cover.

Can we manage cover for all our member clubs from one account?

Yes. We can set up a dedicated organisation account that gives you a single dashboard across all your member clubs, instructors and students. You can see every instructor registered under your account, every student registered under each instructor, and the status of all cover in real time. No chasing individuals for proof of insurance — it is all in one place.

Do our member instructors need to log in to the MADR portal themselves?

Not if you do not want them to. You can register instructors with or without portal access. If you prefer to manage everything centrally and handle issuance yourself, you can do that. If you want instructors to log in and access their own proof of cover and documents independently, that option is also available. You decide what works for your organisation.

Can we white label the service and present it under our own brand?

Yes. Associations and NGBs can manage cover through MADR and handle document issuance under their own branding. You can choose whether to use MADR branded certificates and licence slips or issue your own documentation to members. Either way the cover is the same and the infrastructure behind it is ours.

Can we charge our members a premium on top of the MADR price?

That is a matter for your own organisation to decide. We provide the cover at the agreed price. How you structure your membership fees and what you include within them is entirely up to you.

What is your price match promise for associations?

If you are currently providing like for like instructor or student insurance through your association or an existing provider and our price is higher, we will match it. If we cannot, we will offer you one complimentary instructor insurance policy and 100 student licences at no charge so you can trial the service properly. This is subject to our terms and discretion. Get in touch and we will assess your current provision.

Is there a minimum membership size to access association pricing?

No. We work with organisations of all sizes, from small clubs with a handful of instructors to national NGBs with thousands of members. Off-the-shelf pricing is available to any organisation from day one. Bespoke association and NGB pricing is available on request once you are ready to discuss volume.

Do our members need to join MADR or any associated organisation?

No. There is no obligation for your members to register with MADR independently or to join any associated organisation. Your members are your members. We simply provide the insurance infrastructure that sits behind your association.

Can we offer DBS checks and qualifications through our association via MADR?

Yes. Through your MADR account, your members can access DBS checks, first aid training, coaching qualifications and safeguarding qualifications. Your association presents the service, we provide the infrastructure. Your members see added value delivered through your organisation.

Still have questions?

Whether you want bespoke pricing, a confidential chat about moving your members across, or just want to understand what MADR could look like for your organisation — our team is here. No sales scripts, no pressure. Just a straightforward conversation with people who understand how associations work.
